Analysis of latest tungsten market from Chinatungsten Online

China’s domestic tungsten price kept table but firm in the week end on Friday, June 04, 2021 due to expectations for the yuan to continue strengthening against the dollar, even though overseas markets remained quiet.

The tungsten concentrate price hovered around $15,555.6/ton with rare low-price resources in the market. In the mmonium paratungstate (APT) market, most smelting factories maintained cautious sentiment, waiting for new guidance from the listed companies. Due to continued spread of COVID-19, orders in the tungsten powder market were limited and product prices stabilized at $36.2/kg.

For the export market, export prices for APT remained relatively stable this week given that sellers felt it was not easy to source cheap material from the domestic market. China’s major producers continued to hold their export offer prices firm and were able to conclude deals at the high end of the assessed range.
