Molybdenum market quotation in China: ferro molybdenum, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum powder prices declined slightly on June 28, 2021 after a steadily and sharp rise in previous stage.
Under the influence of the rise of international molybdenum prices and the end of the centralized bidding activities of steel enterprises, domestic traders have generally maintained cautious operations and paid close attention to market and policy changes. Up to now, the number of bids for ferromolybdenum this month has exceeded 100 million tons.
In May 2021, the crude steel output of 64 countries or regions included in the World Steel Association statistics was 174.4 million tons, an increase of 16.5% year-on-year. Among them, China's crude steel production was 99.5 million tons, an increase of 6.6% year-on-year; India's output was 9.2 million tons, an increase of 46.9% year-on-year; Japan's output was 8.4 million tons, an increase of 42.2% year-on-year; the United States' production was 7.2 million tons, an increase of 47.6 year-on-year %; Russian crude steel production is estimated at 6.6 million tons, an increase of 14% year-on-year; Korean crude steel production is estimated at 6 million tons, an increase of 10.5% year-on-year; German crude steel production is estimated at 3.5 million tons, an increase of 35.5% year-on-year; Turkey's crude steel output was 3.2 million tons, an increase of 42.4% year-on-year; Brazil's crude steel output was 3.2 million tons, an increase of 40.1% year-on-year; Iran's crude steel output was estimated at 2.6 million tons, an increase of 7.7% year-on-year
