Molybdenum market quotation in China: molybdenum powder, ferro molybdenum and molybdenum concentrate prices remain stable on Aug. 2, 2021. In the case of a slightly tight supply of raw materials, the holders keep firm offers and low-price resources are hard to find.
Although the overall price of steel bids was relatively optimistic at around 160,000 yuan/ton in July, the total amount of steel bids was not very satisfactory, only more than 8,000 tons. In addition to the large inventory of some steel companies in June, there were many in July. The suspension of production due to overhauls and the successive implementation of local steel production restriction policies by steel companies are also one of the reasons why the steel bid for ferro-molybdenum did not exceed 10,000 in July. Professionals said that the bidding for ferro-molybdenum in August is expected to exceed 10,000.
News: In order to promote the transformation and upgrading and high-quality development of the steel industry, since August 1 this year, the export tariffs of ferrochrome and high-purity pig iron will be appropriately increased, and the export tax rates of 40% and 20% will be implemented after adjustments.
