From the supply side, first, as the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day approaching, the rare earth industry order rectification has been significantly strengthened, which has caused certain interference in the production of rare earth enterprises in Sichuan, Shandong and other regions, which is conducive to the increase in product prices; second, most overseas countries such as The geopolitical risk in Myanmar is relatively high, resulting in the continued tight supply of rare earths, which will help the domestic rare earth market to recover.
From the demand side, first, although it is currently in the traditional peak season of consumption, the demand from magnetic companies and separation companies is still less than expected; second, in the long run, in the context of dual carbon, all countries are vigorously promoting emerging industries The development of new energy vehicles and the increase in demand for products such as 5G communications can greatly expand the use of rare earth functional materials.
In the news: in August, the price of rare earth products in Baotou City showed an upward trend compared to half of the month. The average price of rare earth carbonate was 49,600 yuan/ton, an increase of 29.7% from the previous month, and an increase of 1.3 times year-on-year; the average price of cerium oxide was 9,150 yuan/ton, a decrease of 0.8% from the previous month. A year-on-year decrease of 10.7%; the average price of neodymium oxide was 622,500 yuan/ton, an increase of 14.1% month-on-month and 74.6% year-on-year; the average price of neodymium metal was 775,000 yuan/ton, an increase of 13.1% month-on-month and an increase of 73.3% year-on-year; the average price of neodymium praseodymium metal 767,000 yuan/ton, an increase of 11.2% month-on-month and 79.6% year-on-year.
