At the beginning of the week, China’s domestic molybdenum market generally showed a sideways market. Ferro molybdenum, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide prices decline slightly on September 6, 2021.
Under the situation that the volume and price of steel companies’ bidding were not as good as expected, traders’ sentiment in entering the market increased, so the order growth rate was slow and the product prices rose weakly. Supported by the limited spot inventory of molybdenum raw materials, there is limited room for suppliers to lower their quotations.
In the news: In late August 2021, the average daily crude steel output of key steel enterprises was 2.0527 million tons, which was a decrease of 85,200 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 3.99%, and a year-on-year decrease of 4.98%. The total inventory was 13,427,100 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 1.5071 million tons, a decrease of 10.09%; a decrease of 386,500 tons from the end of last month, a decrease of 2.80%; an increase of 1,806,100 tons from the beginning of the year, an increase of 15.54%; an increase of 1.057 million tons from the same period last year, an increase of 8.55%.
