China’s ferro tungsten and tungsten powder prices continue to maintain stability in the first half of June due to quiet trading activity and heavy wait-and-see atmosphere in the market.
Downstream alloy factories told Chinatunsten Online that their production is normal but receive little new orders from consumers both at home and abroad. on the one hand, China’s domestic market remains lukewarm and participants mainly take a watchful stance; on the other hand, the production in overseas markets gradually recovers but the supply chain is still affected by the spread of COIVD-19.
Chinese exporters of ammonium paratungstate (APT) hold their offer prices firm owing to expectations for the yuan to continue strengthening against the dollar, even though overseas markets remained quiet. Many exporters have not received inquiries from abroad in the past few weeks and they also did not make unsolicited offers.
