Rare earth market quotation in China: DyFe, terbium oxide and dysprosium oxide prices bottom out while neodymium oxide and cerium oxide prices remain unchanged on May 26, 2021.
The main reasons for the increase in the price of some rare earth products: first, the downstream separation companies and magnetic material companies generally focus on destocking, resulting in little remaining supply sources, which in turn promotes the increase in purchasing enthusiasm; second, compared to the end of March, the current rare earth product prices are significantly lower, which is a good opportunity for downstream users to purchase on dips; third, the recent market price has been declining, which has severely reduced profit margins and even approached the cost line. This has forced suppliers to increase their profit awareness, and the price range is not large.
