China’s domestic rare earth market as a whole maintains a fluctuating operation on July 29, 2021. Under the mutual influence of many positive and negative factors, on-site inquiries have increased, but the actual transactions are not as good as expected. Some professionals predict that the market outlook may be stable but strong.

In the light rare earth market, the fundamentals are relatively good. Inner Mongolia, Jiangxi and other places have curtailed power and environmental protection and other factors have caused many rare earth plants to reduce their production capacity. Coupled with downstream users purchasing on demand, the price of praseodymium and neodymium products has risen sharply.

In the medium and heavy rare earth market, the market is general. Although it is supported by Myanmar’s export restrictions and the hot weather that have caused mining companies to increase the difficulty of mining, it is still difficult to offset the damage caused by the low level of magnetic material companies to the market, which is mainly reflected in the products. The price fluctuates alternately and the spot liquidity is not high.

The listing prices of China’s Southern Rare Earth this week: gadolinium oxide was 2.5-253,000 yuan/ton, and the average price was increased by 2 million yuan/ton; terbium oxide was 7.6-7.7 million yuan/ton, and the average price was increased by 400,000 yuan/ton; dysprosium oxide was 2.6-2.65 million yuan/ton, and the average price was increased by 50,000 yuan/ton; holmium oxide was 880,000-900,000 yuan/ton, and the average price was increased by 50,000 yuan/ton; erbium oxide was 20-205,000 yuan/ton, and the average price was increased by 10,000 yuan/ton; yttrium oxide was 36,000 to 38,000 yuan/ton, and the average price was increased by 30,000 yuan/ton.
