What is high specific gravity alloys
There are two types of tungsten-based high specific gravity alloys: tungsten-nickel-copper, and tungsten-nickel-iron.
They both have high strength, high hardness, good electrical and thermal conductivity, low coefficient of thermal expansion, good corrosion and oxidation resistance, good machinability and weldability, and a series of excellent physical properties and use properties.
Because their specific gravity is more than 17, they are often called tungsten-based high specific gravity alloys. The tungsten-based high specific gravity alloys we produce are produced by a special powder metallurgy method, which has the advantages of no internal voids and precise density control. The two kinds of tungsten-based high specific gravity alloys as follows.1) Tungsten-Nickel-Copper: Tungsten-Nickel-Copper alloy is made of tungsten (W content 90-95%) with Ni, Cu and other elements. Its density is as high as 16.8-18.8g/cm³.
2) tungsten-nickel-iron: tungsten-nickel-iron high specific gravity alloy is based on tungsten (W content 90-97%), and added with Ni, Fe and other elements. Its density is as high as 16.8-18.8g/cm³.
